Add devices
One at a time, from a CSV file, or by scanning a subnet.
Before you begin
- You need the Edit devices permission.
- Save at least one SSH and one SNMP credential under Inventory > Credentials.
Add one device
- Inventory > Devices > Add device.
- Enter the name, the IP address or host name, and the platform.
- Choose credentials, or leave them empty to use the group's.
- Tick the groups it belongs to and save.
Retivo checks the device within a minute and reads its model, serial and OS version.
Import many from a CSV file
- Inventory > Devices > Import and download the template.
- Replace the example rows with your devices and save as CSV.
- Upload it. Every row is checked first; nothing is created until all rows are valid.

Discover a subnet
- Inventory > Discover.
- Enter a subnet up to a /22, for example
10.0.10.0/24, and press Scan. Every saved SNMP credential is tried on each address. - Tick the devices to add (devices already in Retivo cannot be ticked), choose a group and press Add.
Use the names the devices report
When a device's own name differs from its name in Retivo, the inventory shows it underneath. Tick devices and press Use system names, or press Use system name on a device page. Retivo shows the new names first, and skips devices whose system name is unknown or already taken.
Export the inventory
Press Export, choose which devices (ticked, the current filter, a group, a vendor or all) and tick the columns you want: status, model, serial, OS version and support date, groups, storage, uptime, last backup, CVE counts and more. Your choice is remembered.
