Check vulnerabilities and export them
Run a check, filter what matters, plan upgrades and export the list.
Before you begin
- Each device needs a known OS version. It is read over SNMP, over SSH, or during the first backup.
- Running a check on demand needs Checks and backups.
Run a check
Vulnerability data is pulled when the first device of a platform is added, then every day. Press Check vulnerabilities now on Vulnerabilities to run it immediately.
Tip
An NVD API key in Settings makes the daily sync faster. NVD gives keys for free.
Find what matters first
The Vulnerabilities page has filters for severity, group, vendor, device, fix available, publication date and Exploited in the wild. A good order of work:
- Tick Exploited in the wild. These are being used by attackers today.
- Then Critical, then High.
- Use Fixed or not to separate what an upgrade fixes from what needs a workaround.
Plan upgrades
The Upgrades and end of life table at the top shows each affected device, what it runs, the recommended version (the lowest release that clears every matched CVE), and the OS and hardware support dates.
Export
Export saves exactly what the filters show to Excel, PDF or CSV, one row per CVE or one row per device.
